Hanifa Abbasi is a communications specialist in Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors' New York office.
She previously served as a content manager at WPP, one of the world’s largest advertising and communications holding companies. At WPP, she developed campaigns for major clients including IKEA, Novo Nordisk, YETI, Office Depot, Tiffany & Co., and Audible. She has led award-winning branded content campaigns at the intersection of media, culture, and advocacy. Her work has been recognized for its creativity, innovation, and global impact.
Beyond her agency tenure, Ms. Abbasi has freelanced with Perception PR, where she contributed to the Oscar-winning success of Anora. She has spearheaded high-impact brand activations at major global events such as the TIME100 Gala, Cannes Lions, Forbes 30 Under 30, and SXSW.
Most recently, she collaborated with Leonardo DiCaprio to launch a global social media campaign spotlighting the endangered Aldabra Islands. Endorsed by Sir David Attenborough, the campaign led to the inclusion of Aldabra advocacy at the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (COP29).
A committed champion of social impact, Ms. Abbasi has also provided pro bono marketing support to UN Women and the Human Rights Campaign.
