BIO
Josh H. Harris is a partner in the Dallas office of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors. He represents clients in high-stakes commercial disputes, bringing a broad-based litigation skill set informed by his transactional experience advising on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $60 billion. His practice spans a wide range of industries, including financial services, construction, energy, real estate, technology, media, and professional services.
Josh regularly provides counsel in matters involving business torts, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud, employment, corporate governance, and other complex commercial litigation. He has also been involved in disputes with significant financial and reputational exposure, where effective advocacy was essential in both the courtroom and the court of public opinion.
Before joining Brewer, Josh advised clients on large-scale corporate transactions and developed substantial experience in negotiations and deal execution at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. That background enhances his litigation practice, allowing him to approach disputes with both legal and commercial insight.
Josh received his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School in 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College, graduating magna cum laude. At Morehouse, he was a member of the NCAA Division II football team and was named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Josh is actively involved in recruiting, professional development, and mentorship initiatives within the firm and participates in community engagement efforts through the Brewer Foundation and the Brewer Storefront.
