John Houser is a senior consulting director (non-attorney) in Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors’ New York office. In that role, he provides business and financial analysis for corporate litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Houser was responsible for building a high-growth financial services division at Brightstar Corp. as CFO. During his time at Brightstar, he established governance processes, directed personnel matters and financial operations – including developing business plans, operational budgets, controls and all aspects of reporting.
Prior to Brightstar Corp., Mr. Houser worked for over 12 years as an investment banker in New York, addressing strategic and capital markets objectives of Fortune 500 companies operating in consumer, healthcare, and retail industries. His execution experience includes sell-side and buy-side M&A engagements, as well as debt and equity financings for corporate and financial sponsor clients.
Mr. Houser served as a board member of the First Presbyterian Church in New York City from 2013 to 2016 and on a variety of committees during this time.
