Will Brewer is a partner in the New York office of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors. He has experience resolving disputes across multiple forums and jurisdictions.

He has represented clients across a variety of industries, including the performing and visual arts, not-for-profits, video and music streaming services, social media, real estate, hospitality, ride-based applications, manufacturing, and professional services. Mr. Brewer regularly provides counsel in a diverse array of matters, including business torts, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, employment discrimination, intellectual property, fraud, corporate governance, and legal ethics.

Some of his recent representations include dismissing hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud and RICO claims in a putative class action, securing resolutions on behalf of individuals alleging discrimination against professional services employers, resolving a dispute among shareholders of a leading talent agency, obtaining a jury verdict dismissing millions of dollars in claims regarding advertising contracts, dismissing an anti-SLAPP motion on behalf of one of the world’s largest producers of natural resources against activist investors, and resolving an assault case on behalf of a user of a ride-based application.

Mr. Brewer takes an active role in professional recruitment at the firm, is involved in the activities of the Brewer Foundation, and serves on the board of I&A International, the firm’s offshore affiliate.

He began his career as an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York, where he practiced complex commercial litigation with a focus in entertainment and media, and contributed to amicus briefs submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in Obergefell v. Hodges and Gloucester County School Bd. v. G.G. Prior to joining the firm, he was a dispute resolution associate at Withers Worldwide, where he represented clients in the art industry.

Mr. Brewer received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2014 and a B.A. in Government from Colby College in 2011.
