Meyer v. Christie

The Firm represented Alan Meyer, John Pratt, and Dovetail Builders in a dispute arising from the wrongful termination of a joint real estate venture.

In the lawsuit, plaintiffs allege that the defendants improperly excluded them from the joint venture to develop a 1,400-unit multifamily project near Fort Riley, Kansas. The lawsuit claimed breach of contract and civil conspiracy.

Following a two-week jury trial, the jury ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, awarding for damages of $9,196,345, unjust enrichment of $5,500,000, and the right to receive punitive damages in an amount to be determined by the Court in a subsequent proceeding.
