Cheri Boyd is a case manager in the Dallas office of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors.

Ms. Boyd has 23 years of experience in the legal profession, in trial litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Boyd has experience working in federal, state, appellate, and bankruptcy court. Likewise, Ms. Boyd has filed and participated in cases commencing in Texas Justice of the Peace Courts all the way up to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Boyd taught for 16 years as a public school teacher in Texas, holding additional certifications in Gifted & Talented and ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction. She also received certification for elementary school principal. The majority of her teaching experience took place in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas where she resided at Rio Farms, a leading research and agricultural farm.

She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Sam Houston State University in 1979 and a master’s degree in education administration from the former University of Texas-Pan American (now the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) in 1985. She was also admitted to the university’s doctoral program for elementary education in 1985. She received jer Paralegal Certification from Southwestern Career Institute in 2000.
